I am currently under the supervision of Eric Verhoogen and Lisa Ho. I completed my first year under Eric and Joseph Stiglitz. I have a BA in Economics from UNAM and completed an exchange quarter at UC Davis. Before joining Columbia, I worked as a research assistant for David Escamilla-Guerrero at the University of St Andrews. My first job was in a call center.

I'm particularly interested in research involving labor, inequality, firms, productivity, mechanism design, applied econometrics, and systems of production. I aim to pursue an academic career (that hopefully involves tenure) after my current appointments.

I consume mass media en masse. I try to record and measure everything. In the simulacral economy, life no longer exists, only its evidence. You can find me on Letterboxd, Record Club, Goodreads, Bookd, Backloggd, Cagematch, and Last.fm. If academic papers circulate as signs, they too have become mass media. I created Refereed to accommodate this. It is in the same vein as the platforms above. It renders LaTeX natively, and I think it is a neat way to engage in conspicuous learning and panopticon-style peer-reviewed surveillance. Feel free to request an account.

I'm also on Twitter. I enjoy most hobbies. Maybe you can put me onto yours.
